Jonathan D. Jaffrey, chairman and CEO, is responsible for leading all facets of the business, including the relationship with Panasonic Eco Solutions North America. He brings a record of more than 20 years of proven leadership and expertise in the finance and energy sector to Coronal Energy. Additionally, Mr. Jaffrey leads Coronal Energy’s Investment Committee in setting the company’s strategic direction.
Prior to forming Coronal Energy, Mr. Jaffrey co-founded Renewable Social Benefit Funds, (RSB Funds), an L3C, which financed, developed, constructed and managed solar photovoltaic projects in California and Colorado. The company’s innovative approach to combining public and private financing of solar projects was recognized by the White House Office of Innovation and Civic Participation. Prior to entering the renewable energy sector, Mr. Jaffrey spent more than a decade as the president of a multi-generation family office overseeing the stewardship and investments of over $2.5 billion in assets. In addition, he was COO at the W.M. Keck Foundation and oversaw the $1.4 billion organization’s grant making.
Dedicated to making a meaningful difference, Mr. Jaffrey has served on the boards of several philanthropic organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California.
