Title: Asset Manager


The Manager, Asset Management is responsible for managing operating assets: ensuring maximum uptime and optimal production, overseeing Maintenance, interfacing with O&M and Services Providers and providing necessary information and reporting to lenders, regulatory organizations as well as local, state and federal regulators.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manages the everyday plant activities of the operating assets in compliance with established standards

• Revises procedures as required to ensure compliance with established standards

• Negotiates sub-contractor service agreements

• Oversees O&M Provider(s). Manages their operating and repair/troubleshooting efforts to ensure compliance with service agreements and compliance with established standards

• Determines spare parts requirements and tracks inventory

• Ensures all safety practices and procedures are followed. Audits O&M Provider’s safety procedures and/or develops additional site specific safety procedures as necessary

• Manages and tracks warranty claims and understands installation warranty and equipment warranty responsibilities. Ensures operations and maintenance activities are performed to maximize the warranty benefit

• Schedules and manages additional services as needed based on the available monitoring data. Ensures acceptable quality of execution

• Researches and proposes alternative solutions for additional services (such as vegetation management, erosion control, snow removal, etc.)

• Validates and reviews equipment specific Preventive Maintenance schedules and scopes for each operating project. Makes sure that it is performed as planned and reviews reports

• Validates important repair works and reviews reports

• Completes quarterly site inspections

• Develops and executes processes and procedures for solar asset management

• Manages relationship with land owners and neighbors for operating projects

• Reviews performance modeling results and compares with actual performance data

• Proposes solutions for improving performance if positive cost/benefit analysis

• Provides reports for lenders and for local, state and federal regulatory organizations according to the agreements and contracts

• Maintains a database tracking operation, contract administration, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting

• Participates in commissioning of new projects

• May support the Acquisition team with review of potential projects

• May represent the Asset Management Homeroom in a Project Team during earlier sages (Origination, Early Stage/Late Stage Development and/or Construction Phases)

• May support upstream development and acquisition of new projects


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline

• 5+ years as Asset Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager and/or complementary combination of education and experience in a service environment that includes electrical systems and power generation plants

• Familiarity with commercial, industrial and utility-scale electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications

• Understanding of the relevant electrical codes, building codes, and permitting procedures for medium and large-scale solar projects

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational capabilities

• Willingness and ability to travel – up to 20% domestically
