Title: Asset Management Compliance Paralegal


As an Asset Management Compliance Paralegal, you will assist in ensuring compliance of the portfolio of operating assets under the control of Coronal Energy regarding different agreements, contracts, and legislations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review all applicable agreements and contracts such as lease agreements; financial agreements; interconnection and power/energy selling agreements; local, state and federal regulations and special permits, etc. 
  • Prepare and review compliance checklists making sure that Coronal Energy and its subcontractors, if applicable, comply with all requirements of the agreements, contracts, and different legislations
  • Interact with the rest of the Asset Management team, Project Finance, Accounting and Legal teams to ensure all requirements of the different agreements are addressed properly and timely
  • Ensure all equipment warranties are maintained during their term and manage warranty claims when applicable
  • Ensure all operating projects are properly insured
  • Write and review certificates and legal documents
  • Research and provide information & documents
  • May complete quarterly site inspections
  • May support upstream development
  • May work with consultant and external attorneys

  • Education/Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Experience: 5 years' energy market compliance experience
  • Specialized Knowledge: Understand and interpret complex agreements, contracts and different legislations
  • Location: this position will be located in Pasadena, CA
