Title: Real Estate Contracts Paralegal

Summary:

As a Real Estate Contracts Paralegal, you will assist in leasing, various development efforts, and the financing and operation of utility scale solar projects throughout the US, with a focus on the overall management of the underlying contracts and related real estate matters.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee active lease option contracts and manage the renewal, payment, and expiration of such contracts
  • Draft lease option agreements, easements, and amendments to various real estate contracts
  • Manage document recordation at localities throughout the US
  • Work with localities to ensure document conformance with recording requirements
  • Research state and local laws in various states across the US
  • Work with developers to draft and review lease options and leases with landowners 
  • Draft and review estoppel certificates & subordination agreements (SNDAs) with lienholders and financing parties
  • Correspond with landowners regarding status of in-development projects

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects on the fly
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

Education/Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Experience: 5+ years' real estate experience dealing with property development and recordation of real estate documents
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of contracts & various real property documents
  • Notary public certification highly desired (can be obtained as part of employment)
